Inspired by rock and roll and his New York roots, his vision to provide on-trend women and men with an outlet to express their individuality is innovative, daring, and inspiring. Steve’s innate understanding of trends and unparalleled willpower have resulted in millions of customers worldwide and propelled his designs to the forefront of fashion.
He has expanded the Steve Madden brand into a true lifestyle and destination for footwear, handbags and accessories, sold in over 80 countries worldwide. It’s about authenticity. It’s about embracing individuality. It’s Steve Madden.
The design approach mirrors the Steve Madden brand aesthetic, and will deliver the best of eyewear fashion design and new fashion trends at price points that are affordable for today’s consumer. Designed to appeal to Millennials, the eyewear is trendy, edgy and fashion-forward—yet remains playful.
In development of the initial concepts for Madden, ClearVision relied heavily on its design and engineering teams to incorporate major trends in new technology and material development. The resulting collection utilizes 3-D printing and many new lightweight metals as well as high-definition compressed acetate (HDCA). The designs take full advantage of new manufacturing techniques creating a new range of material combinations. Signature details include color contrast design elements as well as unique temple tips inspired by ballerina flats and zipper hardware.
The multi-faceted collection will feature eyewear and sunwear for both women and men, as well as children, with over fifty styles. In keeping with the brand philosophy, Steve Madden Eyewear will release new models several times a year in response to style and market changes. The development process will utilize ClearVision’s advanced 3D printing capabilities for rapid prototyping, as well as for creating new textures and combinations new to the optical market. This enables the company to stay up to date—and address any popular trends quickly from inception to production.
