HAUPPAUGE, NY — September 23, 2025 — Uncommon, a ClearVision independent brand, is releasing six men’s frames and expanding its XL Fit selection to meet demand for larger fitting styles, featuring fashionable shapes, high-end materials, and discoverable details.
With this new release, Uncommon is continuing its focus on on-trend styles for men who need larger frames. Four of the six frames in the new release are XL Fit. According to a ClearVision survey of over 450 ECPs, 85% say men need larger frames, and a separate ClearVision survey of over 400 ECPs on specialty fit eyewear found that more than one in three say men specifically need more options over size 61.
Uncommon offers men who need these larger fits frames thoughtfully designed for fashionable looks. Included in the new release are retro-inspired designs, a double bridge navigator, a semi-rimless frame with an acetate brow, and decorative core wire, in addition to other subtle details.

Ashen
A narrower double bridge navigator eye shape in stainless steel with XL Fit sizing and two-tone color plating on the front and special hinges. It is available in Black Grey and Brown Gold.

Cooper
Based on a best-selling IZOD eye shape, this frame in XL Fit sizing features acetate fade colorations with titanium temples with special leaf spring hinges.Colors include Grey Horn Fade and Brown Horn Fade. An oversized almond eye shape designed to complement a variety of facial shapes. The frame features a metal front paired with wide acetate temples and a visible core wire. This style is available in Purple, Red, and Blue.

Myles
A retro inspired flat metal brow line with a soldered bridge in stainless steel includes a see-through decorative wire core on acetate temples. It comes in Blue Grey, Blue Gunmetal and Brown Gold.
